Each year, Dublin Presbyterian Church presents the DPC Concert Series, a collection of concerts offered for both church members and the wider community to enjoy. These concerts are free and open to the public, made possible through the generous support of our sponsors. The series features a wide variety of performances, including solo instrumentalists and vocalists, as well as small ensembles, choral groups, and instrumental ensembles. Performers include talented local amateur and professional musicians. Our own DPC musical ensembles also share their gifts in at least two concerts each season.
The DPC Choir is open to singers high school age and up and they perform from September through June. The choir leads worship each Sunday and participates in special services such as Christmas Eve, Maundy Thursday, and Easter, as well as special concerts during the season. Music ranges from classical to contemporary, and no prior music-reading experience is required. Rehearsals: Thursdays, 7:00–9:00 PM, in the sanctuary
The DPC Praise Team leads contemporary worship music each Sunday throughout the year. Rehearsals: Thursdays, 6:30–7:00 PM, in the sanctuary
Our children & group musical group, the Junior Praise Team, share their gifts throughout the year during worship services and special events, including a Christmas musical. Music is contemporary, engaging, and age-appropriate. Rehearsals: Vary based on participant schedules
DPC also owns a 2-manual, 16-rank pipe organ built by the Schantz Company. The instrument was later relocated and redesigned specifically for the DPC sanctuary by the Muller Pipe Organ Company. A gift from two generous members of the DPC congregation, this organ is well suited for a wide range of organ repertoire. It is used every Sunday to support congregational hymn singing and regularly accompanies the choir and soloists.
DPC is home to a 6'5" Seiler grand piano, used to accompany the choir, soloists, and congregational singing. This beautiful instrument was generously given through memorial funds and plays an important role in our worship life.
